1.2 All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
2. Licence to Use the Website
2.1 You may access and view the Website and its Content for your personal, non-commercial use and for the internal purposes of the institution you represent.
2.2 You may not, without our prior written consent:
(a) copy, reproduce, modify, or create derivative works from the Content;
(b) republish, distribute, transmit, display, or exploit the Content in any manner for commercial purposes;
(c) reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract source code from any part of the Service; or
(d) remove, obscure, or alter copyright or proprietary notices.
3. Authorship Analysis Reports
3.1 Reports generated through the Service are protected as AuthPlus intellectual property. AuthPlus grants Users a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use such reports solely for academic integrity purposes within their institution.
3.2 Users are not permitted to resell, license, or redistribute reports, whether in original or modified form, without AuthPlus’s prior written consent.
4. Coursework and User Submissions
4.1 All rights in student Coursework uploaded to the Service remain vested in the submitting student or their institution. AuthPlus does not claim ownership of Coursework.
4.2 By uploading Coursework, Users (or their institutions) grant AuthPlus a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to process the Coursework solely for the purposes of delivering the Service, as described in our Terms and Conditions of Use and Privacy Policy.
4.3 AuthPlus will not sell, license, or otherwise exploit Coursework.
5. Third-Party Intellectual Property
5.1 Certain elements of the Service may incorporate third-party materials, including but not limited to fonts, libraries, APIs, and integrations. Such third-party intellectual property is used under licence and remains the property of the respective owners.
5.2 Use of third-party integrations (e.g., Google Cloud Platform, Gemini, Stripe, Payoneer, HubSpot, YouTube, Calendly) may be subject to their own copyright notices and licence terms.
6. Copyright Infringement Complaints
6.1 AuthPlus respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects Users to do the same.
6.2 If you believe that material available through the Website or Service infringes your copyright, you may notify us at [email protected], providing:
(a) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
(b) identification of the allegedly infringing material and its location on the Website;
(c) your contact details (name, address, email, phone number);
(d) a statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorised; and
(e) a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf.
6.3 AuthPlus may remove or disable access to allegedly infringing material upon receipt of a valid notice and reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts of repeat infringers.
7. Limited Liability
7.1 While AuthPlus takes reasonable steps to ensure that the Content on the Website is accurate and lawfully made available, no warranty is given that all Content is free of error, infringement, or misappropriation.
7.2 To the fullest extent permitted by law, AuthPlus disclaims liability for any loss, damage, or claims arising from your reliance on or use of Content that is subject to third-party intellectual property rights.
8. Changes to This Copyright Notice
8.1 AuthPlus may update this Copyright Notice from time to time to reflect changes in law, business practice, or ownership of intellectual property.
8.2 Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised Effective Date.
